I am a systems thinker, not a task executor. I design outcomes, not activities, and I build architectures that outlast my direct involvement. In the boardroom I frame decisions rather than present data; on a team I own the outcomes, the failures, and the standards.
Today I am Senior Architect for Cybersecurity and Data Protection at American Airlines, where I am responsible for enterprise data protection architecture: data discovery, classification, governed access, scaled enforcement, and AI-safe data usage. I translate tooling output into quantified business risk for senior stakeholders and replace manual workflows with automated ones.
My background is unusual on purpose. Twelve years in county law enforcement, finishing as a sergeant, gave me evidence discipline, chain-of-custody rigor, and composure under pressure. That carried directly into digital forensics and eDiscovery, and from there into data discovery and data protection. I don't patch isolated findings; I trace the design pattern and eliminate entire classes of risk. I communicate bottom line up front, with the trade-offs named explicitly.
